EARLIER CLIENT WORK

Selected client work

The client web practice I ran from 2010 to 2020: CMS and commerce builds, third-party integrations, technical operations and client-facing delivery for small businesses, agencies and local government. I returned to engineering contracting in 2025; the current TypeScript and backend work is on the Work page.

FEATURED ENGAGEMENTS
2015 to 2019

Tower Realty Austin

A property search site for an Austin agency working the student-housing market, built around an IDX/MLS listing feed with search by city and zip code. Visitors could register, save listings and request showings, with every enquiry routed to the agent. I remained the technical contact for site, email and domain operations for three years after launch.

2011 to 2012

US Gold Bureau & Wholesale Coins Direct

Two precious-metals dealer sites running on Drupal, worked on site with the marketing team. The most involved piece was live product pricing: I extended a Drupal module to pull rates from the Xignite precious-metals API so prices tracked the market. I also handled DNS and CDN configuration, uptime troubleshooting and CMS training for staff.

Turbo Mortgage

A four-year engagement covering three brands for a mortgage brokerage on WP Engine. Alongside the sites I built a WordPress LMS for their homebuyer education programme, connected the Maxwell loan-origination platform and per-officer Blink Mortgage links, and moved membership and buyer-agent agreements into DocuSign and JotForm workflows.

FitEyes

A long-running Drupal 7 community site for glaucoma patients. My work was keeping it healthy and moving: upgrading contributed modules including Entity API, Quicktabs and Display Suite, taking backups and running the database migrations those upgrades required, and rebuilding the site search results with a custom display when the stock output fell short.

David Swantner Art online gallery and storefront
2016

David Swantner Art

An online gallery and storefront for an Austin fine artist. The work was getting an entire body of physical pieces catalogued properly as WooCommerce products, so individual works could be browsed and bought directly from the site instead of being handled one enquiry at a time over email.
